Two adorable little boys (one of whom was celebrating his birthday) got the surprise of their lives when their doorbell rang -- and their favorite superhero, Captain America, was standing there to greet them. Any kid would be absolutely thrilled to see someone as cool as Captain America standing at their door, but little did these boys know that the man behind the mask was actually their dad -- who had just returned home from Afghanistan.
Take a look at the video clip below of their reunion -- and try not to start crying when you hear the emotion and joy in their mom's voice when the boys finally realize Captain America's true identity.

As a mother, I can't even imagine how amazing it must have been for this mom to witness the moment when her husband took off the mask and walked over to the table to reveal his identity to the kids. And then when the birthday boy went over and hugged his dad -- then looked up at him with pure adoration in his eyes? OMG. Melt my heart!
All we truly want for our kids is to see them happy, and I can think of no better birthday present than giving a child the gift of having his daddy come home. It's so easy to take the time we have with our kids for granted, and videos like this always remind me to appreciate every single moment I have with my son.
